Souffleur de Mer

Armel Desrues’ work combines traditionnal handblown glass techniques with a sculptural approach. Inspired par the history of glass and drawn to matter, Armel revisits the infinite potential of an ancestral know-how by giving it a contemporary aspect through tools and techniques he appropriated. By playing with the plastic capacities of molten glass and its optical effects, Armel Desrues’ artworks appear both liquid and solid, defying our perception of weight and gravity. 

This exhibition is a tribute to his origins, his horizon, his breath.
